Today some Q&A on the Wrangler 4Xe

Q: Can you drive Jeep® Wrangler 4xe in extreme cold or

extreme heat?

A: Hybrid vehicles are designed to function in the same

conditions and temperatures as conventional vehicles, but

the electric range may be reduced in these conditions.

Q: Will a Jeep® Wrangler 4xe keep working if it runs out

of charge?

A: Yes. The Wrangler 4xe is a PHEV that combines an electric

motor with a gas engine, which means that even when the

Wrangler 4xe isn’t charged, you can still drive using the

gas engine.

Q: What is the engine size of the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe?

A: The Wrangler 4xe has a 2.0L I4 DOHC direct-injection

turbo PHEV engine that delivers a total powertrain output

of 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.

Q: How do you charge the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe?

A: You can charge the Wrangler 4xe with an in-home charger,

like the included Level 1 charging cable, which charges the

battery in 12 hours, or an approved Mopar or Jeep®-branded

Level 2, which can charge the battery in as little as 2 hours.

Public charging stations can also be used with a Level 2

charger. Jeep® Wrangler 4xe vehicles are not currently

compatible with DC fast charging.

Q: Can I charge the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe through a regular

outlet in my home?

A: The Wrangler 4xe includes a Level 1 (120-volt) charging

cable, which can charge up the battery in 12 hours using a

regular home outlet.

Q: How does the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe know to use the gas

or electricity?

A: The Wrangler 4xe has E-Selec driving modes that enable the

driver to decide whether to use electricity, gas or a combination

of the two. Electric Mode uses only battery power for low emissions

zones in cities or quiet off-roading with maximum torque and horsepower,

while eSave Mode reserves batterypower for later. Hybrid Mode gives

you the best of both worlds.

Q: If the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe is quiet, how will pedestrians hear

me when I am driving near them?

A: The Wrangler 4xe comes equipped with a Pedestrian Alert

System. When at 32 km/h and under, this safety feature lets

pedestrians know you’re driving near them by making an

audible noise.

Q: Can the charging cord get wet?

A: The charging cord is designed for indoor and outdoor use and

for all weather conditions.

Q: What is the range on the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe?

A: The Wrangler 4xe has an all-electric range of 34 kilometers.

When fully charged, with a full tank of fuel, it has a total

driving range of up to 595 kilometers (EPA estimates; actual

mileage may vary).
